Ensuring the Future by Preserving the Past

A sampling of IT History

The IT History Society (ITHS) is a world-wide group of over 500 members working together to assist in and promote the documentation, preservation, cataloging, and researching of Information Technology (IT) history. We offer a place where individuals, academicians, corporate archivists, curators of public institutions, and hobbyists alike can gather and share information and resources. We also supply tools, advice, encouragement and assistance to IT companies looking to preserve their history, an activity that not only has far-reaching research value, but also offers a marked cost benefit to the company.

Our website offers:

  • A global network of IT historians and archivists
  • Research links and tools
  • An active blog
  • Project funding notices
  • An annual conference
