This section provides resources to people and institutions interested in participating in or supporting activities in IT history. Many of these resources are intended primarily for the corporate executive wanting to record his or her history, or to carry out historical projects and programs in his or her company. However, many of these same resources, such as a primer on how to do oral history in the IT field, will be of interest to a much broader audience.

International Database of Historical and Archival Sites is our exclusive catalog of resource sites concerning IT history. It's the only one of its kind and is a valuable resource for IT historians and archivists alike. Browse a listing of the sites, view archived versions of the sites, or perform a keyword search of archived pages using Archive-It.

The Historical Resources page provides practical guides that were either commissioned by ITHS and appear nowhere else, or are items that were posted here with the permission of the copyright holder and are difficult or impossible to find elsewhere on the web.

The Links section gives pointers to web pages maintained by other individuals and organizations that may also be of interest to people who visit the ITHS web site.

Case Studies explain how some companies have started and maintained their archives.

The Video Links section lists online videos relating to computer and IT history.

WorldCat Library Search lets you search the world's largest network of library content and services, connecting you to the collections and services of more than 10,000 libraries worldwide.

The Featured Projects page provides access to the projects we've featured on our Opening Page.
