A VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc NETwork), as its name implies, is an ad-hoc network between vehicles, i. e., a point to point wireless network whose nodes are devices placed in vehicles. In VAiPho case, the mobile devices are mobile phones with Wi-Fi and GPS.
