AppTornado develops AppBrain (http://www.appbrain.com), an online Android market browser and installations tool, and a number of Android apps. AppBrain is a platform for discovering Android apps. Paired with a native Android app it provides an easy means of discovering and installing Android apps directly to the phone. AppBrain also provides personalized app recommendations, possibility to browse other users' installed apps. Under the name Swiss Codemonkeys, AppTornado has launched over 25 Android apps, including popular titles such as 'Funny Jokes' and 'Steamy Window', both with over 1 million downloads each. Founded in November 2009, AppTornado GmbH is a privately held company based in Zürich, Switzerland.
