Join a Committee
The work of the IT History Society happens in its committees. Each one owns a clear piece of the mission, from building our catalog to publishing the newsletter to developing the website, and each welcomes members who want to contribute knowledge, judgment, and time.
In 2027 the committees share one focus: a comprehensive catalog, co-curated by people with niche expertise, with room for member contributions alongside it. Our Operating Plan sets out the details.
How the committees fit together

Academic or industry experience is welcome but not required. What matters most is integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to getting the history right.
Curation Committee
Build a comprehensive, trustworthy catalog of the hardware, software, and companies that shaped information technology.
