Arkamys’ research started with a patented process for sound spatialization that enhances the sound experience for digital media from music to movies. Famous movies like Subway, Dirty Dancing, and Bagdad Café were mastered using this process. The original ARKAMYS team was comprised of acoustic researchers, sound engineers, and composers who called the legendary Château d’Hérouville their home. The studio at Château d’Hérouville welcomed such stars as the Bee Gees, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, and even Elton John who recorded the album “Honky Chateau”. The team at Château d’Hérouville and the studio itself had a unique ability to help propel artists to the top of the charts.
