Simple Energy is a privately held software-as-a-service company that partners with utility providers to promote energy efficiency and peak load reduction. Simple Energy has achieved opt-in rates of over 20%, well above the industry average. Simple Energy's Customer Engagement Platform helps electric and gas utilities motivate their customers to save energy, particularly at time when energy usage is at its peak. As of August 2012, Simple Energy's Customer Engagement Platform had been deployed into over 500,000 homes in multiple utility service territories.
