Synoptek is an established firm that provides information systems consulting and IT management services. Synoptek and its predecessors have been providing these services for 23 years. In 2005, three complementary consulting and IT management firms merged to form a new company designed to provide full life-cycle services to small- and medium-size companies in southern California. The combined organization was renamed Synoptek—The Synergy of Operations and Technology. The principals of the organization believed there was an opportunity in the market to provide enterprise quality services to operations and technology intensive companies. By combining their capabilities in IT Strategy and Planning, Project Management and Implementation, and IT Operations, they believed they could provide a performance delivery solution to better serve public and private organizations.
