Weebit is an exciting venture that is leading the way into the future of computer memory storage, and plans to become the new industry standard in this space. Incorporated in Israel in 2015, Weebit has been built around a revolutionary memory and semiconductor technology invented by Professor James Tour of Rice University in Houston, Texas. James Tour is a worldrenowned leader in the field of materials engineering and nanotechnology, and retains the position of Chief Scientific Advisor at Weebit. Weebit is developing Tour’s innovation into a new silicon oxide (SiOx) Resistive Random Access Memory (ReRAM) technology. This quantum leap will allow semiconductor memory elements to become cheaper, faster, more reliable and more energy efficient than the existing Flash technology. Weebit has signed an R&D agreement with the Tour Lab Group at Rice University, one of the leading groups in materials technology today, to further develop SiOx ReRAM technology. Weebit has to date licensed 7 global patents on Prof. Tour’s technology.
