Wonder Transmedia develops intellectual property to be shared across multiple digital media platforms. It operates as two divisions, which include Wonder Funding: a division focused on project finance and audience development; and Wonder Animation: an online animation school for talent training and a professional network for talent collaboration, employment, and project finance. Wonder Transmedia seeks to create a crowdsourced studio via semi-annual contests for its school and network members, who compete to conceive content that spans social media, mobile apps, console games, webisodes, TV, and movies. It also aims to displace outsource firms by allowing its school graduates and network members to contract directly with animation studios that seek outsource talent that they can manage directly. Wonder Transmedia was co-founded by Al Ovadia, Chris Fure, and Omar Kaczmarczyk, and is based in Los Angeles, California.
