The Personal LaserWriter 300 represents Apple's entry level laser printer and is based on a new, compact Canon 4 page per minute (ppm) xerographic engine. It features improved print quality, an energy saving design, and the ability to share the printer with other users connected to the network.The printer features GrayShare driver software, an innovative new technology that gives you the ability to share your printer with others across a network. When the printer is connected to a single Macintosh via a serial cable, the GrayShare software driver architecture allows anyone connected to the host Macintosh (using LocalTalk) to print to it.
