The P43Twins1600 from ASRock is a great choice for an upgrade board. This LGA775 board supports both DDR2 and DDR3 memory so you can use your DDR2 memory to start and when you need more speed then you can switch the memory out for DDR3. The P43 chipset supports processors from the Celeron to the Core 2 Quad and Core 2 Extreme.
