Hardware Description

Ericsson GF788 is a mobile phone released by Ericsson in 1996. It operates on the GSM 900 network. The GF788 created the demand for the brand in mobile phones that hadn’t been seen since some of it’s earlier models including the Hotline series and GF/GH388 series. GF788 was the world’s first truly pocketable small mobile with an elegant and clean design. This was followed by the more colourful and updated T18. The first in a completely new generation of digital, compact, advanced mobile phones, the Ericsson’s GF788 mobile phone offers three menu types: reduced, extended and a new customized option, creating for each user a totally personalized mobile communications product. It delivers an outstanding 3 hours of talk time and 60 hours of standby time. As part of its introduction to the market, the GF788 will be offered in four elegant metallic colors (dark gray, bordeaux red, dark blue and dark green). Other features of the GF788 include: • Small size, 135 g and 10 cm high, • Unique customized menu, • 9 speed dialing positions for frequently called numbers, • Storage for 99 names and numbers, • Customized melody ring option, • Easy-to-use YES and NO keys and 2 side volume keys, • Missed Calls function to store calls the user could not answer, • SMS, Data & Fax Options, Calling Line Identification/ Restriction, Dual Line (through supplementary GSM Services).
