FACOM K-150LT

The FACOM K-100 Series was a desk-top office computer (*1) from Fujitsu. It was announced simultaneously with the higher-end FACOM K-600 Series in October 1988. The FACOM K-100 Series was comprised of: two FACOM K-100 models, which improved performance by about 20% over the previous FACOM K-10R machine and achieved greater miniaturization with a built-in 3.5-inch floppy disk drive, and three newly developed FACOM K-150 models which employed a 32-bit MPU. This series inherited the dual-role concept which was the distinguishing feature of the FACOM K-10R -- standalone office computer functionality, and the functionality of workstations in the higher-end FACOM K-600 Series -- and offered enhanced capabilities for improving linkage functionality and development productivity. In May 1989, Fujitsu added the FACOM K-150LT, a laptop machine equipped with a 32-bit MPU, compactly designed for ease of set up and use.
