This was a low-end office computer (*) from Fujitsu which was developed jointly with USAC Electronic Industrial Company (currently PFU). *: An office computer is a small business computer used in an office. The FACOM System 80, the first true office computer from Fujitsu, was announced in April 1979 as the successor of the FACOM Bm and FACOM V0III. At the time development of this computer began, OA (Office Automation) systems had begun to attract attention, and the FACOM System 80 was developed based on the design concept of "an office computer which could be used by anyone when necessary, with the same ease as a business machine".
