Hardware Description
The 75C was HP's first portable computer. The 75C was battery or AC powered with built-in BASIC language. It included a one-line LCD display and and HP-IL port for connecting to HP-IL disc drives, printers, plotters and tape drives. It came standard with 16K RAM, upgradable to 24K. The 75C also had three expansion ports for holding application software modules and a built-in magnetic card reader. The 75D was introduced in April of 1984 ($1,095) and added an optical wand port. It was priced at $1095.
