Hardware Description
The 7912 was a combination quarter-inch tape drive and 65 MB hard disc. The 7912 had the CS/80 command structure and came standard with an HP-IB interface. The 7912P came in a stand-alone mini cabinet. The 7912R was normally mounted in a 19-inch rack. The 7911 was also introduced in 1981. It was priced at $12,500 and offered a hard disc capacity of 28.1 MB. The 7914 was introduced in 1983. It was priced at $19,900 and offered a hard disc capacity of 132.1 MB.
