EX870

The EX860, EX870 and EX880 were higher-end machines which used high-speed and high-density ECL-LSI with a gate delay time of 0.4ns and 2,500 gates, and high-speed ECL-RAM with an access time of 5ns. Set-up space was designed to be the same as models such as the EX830, and this made it easy to upgrade the main unit at the customer's site. In the EX880, a dyadic processor configuration was achieved by tightly coupling two basic processing units, and system availability was improved because even if one basic processing unit failed,the system could operate by isolating the failed processor.
