Hardware Description

The if1000 UNITOPIA 10, employing a 16-bit microprocessor with a 32-bit architecture, was announced in 1985 as a UNIX workstation for software development. The if1000 UNITOPIA OS took the lead in adopting System V features based on AT&T's System III, and was equipped with the UNIPLUS+ version from Unisoft Corporation which had enhanced Berkeley version features. The if1000 UNITOPIA 20, employing a 32-bit microprocessor, was announced in May 1987 as a higher-end model.
