Jeffrey R Yost

Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Annals of the History of Computing, Yost has also served as Associate Director of the Charles Babbage Institute from 1998 onward.

Yost authored The Computer Industry (Greenwood Press, 2005) and Bibliographic Guide to Resources in the History of Scientific Computing, 1945–1975 (Greenwood Press, 2002). He co-authored IBM Rochester: A Half Century of Innovation (IBM, 2007) with Arthur L. Norberg. He also produced more than a dozen articles and reviews.

Yost conducted oral histories with many notable people in software and services. He contributed services to IEEE, SHOT, and the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP) Working Group 9.7 History of Computers.
