Bio/Description

Leader and prime mover behind IBM's xSeries architectures, Bradicich is a 2006 IBM Fellow—the highest honor a scientist, engineer, or programmer at IBM can achieve. He has served as Vice President of Systems and Technology Group in Raleigh, North Carolina, and as CTO of IBM's volume server product line (x86 server systems). Throughout his IBM career, he provided extraordinary leadership and contributions to the architecture, technology, and business strategies of IBM's personal systems and server product lines.

He led IBM corporate level strategies for the CEO on x86 Virtualization, Home Networking, Server Consumability, RISC Workstations, Competitive Processors, and Data Center Networking, server-hosted desktops, VDI, and cloud computing. Bradicich was the early leader and a prime mover behind the xSeries architectures, and in expanding the concepts of modularity, advanced I/O, and management technologies into IBM's symmetric multiprocessor and blade server offering, BladeCenter. He also led the founding of many industry standards and intellectual property policies. His technical vision and innovations were instrumental in IBM's leadership position in the IT industry.

In May 2011, he left IBM and joined National Instruments (NI) in Austin, Texas, where he established end-to-end systems and solutions for cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), and big data (Big Analog Data™) acquisition, processing, management, and visualization problems, via collaborations with partners and customers. He led the evolution of NI computing systems and instruments to address system-level needs such as high availability, serviceability, and systems management (RASM). Bradicich has served as NI's executive sponsor for industry standards such as the Advancing Open Standards for the Information Society (OASIS), Intelligent Systems Framework (ISF), and Secure Fabric Alliance (SFA). He led formal NI corporate strategies on data management, systems management, and product/portfolio management, and has served as technical consultant to legal on customer and partner agreements and contracts. He also led various programs for employee development and technical vitality.

He joined Hewlett-Packard (HP) in February 2014 as Vice President of Engineering, Servers, Enterprise Group in Houston, Texas. Among the awards Bradicich has received are: National Instruments (NI) Fellow; IBM Distinguished Engineer; IBM Chairman's Award; and election to the IBM Academy of Technology. He has served on the Adjunct Faculty of NC State University and Florida Atlantic University, Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and taught several hardware and software design and programming courses.
