Dr. Bernardo Batiz-Lazo

Bernardo Bátiz-Lazo has been teaching and researching management practice in financial institutions since 1991. He joined Leicester in January 2007. Previously he worked at Bristol Business School, London South Bank University, Open University and The Queen’s University of Belfast. He has combined these full time appointments with executive training at Manchester Business School and visiting stays in China, Germany, India, Ireland, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. He has also advised senior managers at the Office of Fair Trading, BBC, IBM, The Jefferson Smurfit Group and is non-executive director in Mexico, Spain and the UK. His academic background combines studies in economics (at ITAM in Mexico and Autónoma de Barcelona in Spain), history (Oxford University), and a PhD in Business Administration at Manchester Business School.
