Company Description

Acep Cameroun is a microfinance institution specialized in financing SMEs from urban areas of Douala, Yaounde and Bafoussam.

The Private Enterprise Credit Agency in Cameroon (ACEP Cameroon SA) is a microfinance institution (MFI) set up in 1999 by the Government of Cameroon with funding from the European Union (EU) and the Agence Française Development (AFD) with technical operator ACEP Développement. ACEP Cameroon started in the form of a project attached to the Cameroonian Ministry of Industrial and Commercial Development, ultimately aiming for its institutionalization as a public limited company. The project phase went well and the public limited company created in September 2005 took over the project activities. ACEP Cameroon SA is the first institution in Francophone Africa to carry out this type of transformation. ACEP Cameroon SA belongs to the ACEP International network; Its methods and the technologies implemented are based on the model developed by ACEP Développement and deployed in all ACEP International subsidiaries. These subsidiaries are present in African countries such as Senegal (ACEP Senegal) and Madagascar (ADéFi)
