Advanced Software Designs (ASD) was founded in 1985 to provide software solutions for the formula-based, process industries. ASD's first customer, Carboline Company, needed a solution to automate the creation of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and product labels. This was quite a challenge at a time when the average PC had a fraction of the processing power and storage of today's smartphones.
