Al-Ahram

Al-Ahram is the Egypt’s largest news organization, and the publisher of the Middle East’s oldest newspaper.

The foundations of Al-Ahram Foundation brothers Salim and Bishara Takla in the city of Alexandria after the Khedive Ismail government granted them permission to issue the Gazette in August 5, 1876 , making it the oldest continuously Arab newspaper in the breasts yet . Began as a newspaper Al-Ahram Weekly , but less than 5 years and in the January 3, 1881 turned into a daily newspaper.
