It is a team of 10 developers, designers, and advisors all passionate about brand experiences through the smartphone. Today, Asteroid has over 100 affiliated restaurants and bars that run live test of the platform since the spring of 2014. Its integration with beacons, small proximity-devices placed into its partnering shops, allows users to receive promotions. Asteroid was founded in 2013 by Günay Mert Karadoğan and Giovanni Casinelli. It is based in Singapore.
