Company Description
Continental Edison was founded by Thomas Edison in 1882. In 1891, it merged with Thomson Houston to found the General Electric group. In 1958, Continental Edison came under the control of the CGE. Continental Edison became French in 1971, when General Electric sold the majority of its stake in the brand to Thomson. In 1997, the brand was taken over by the Cofidur group, a French supplier of electronic subcontracting. In 1999, policy of diversification of the activity.
