Company Description

Noblex Argentina SA is a tech company from Argentina founded in 1935 by Armando Pla with the name of Nobleza Radio. It has belonged to the Newsan Business Group since 1999. The Nobleza Radio company was founded by Armando Pla, a young man with a passion for the nascent radio, in mid-1935. It was a small business located in the Abasto neighborhood of Buenos Aires in which he manufactured electric tube radios. Its first product was the Noblesse electric radio. Ten years later, it launched the Combined Nobleza and in the 1960s, it began to manufacture and sell the Noblex Carina, like the TN2, which reached more than 1,500,000 units sold. In the 1970s, he achieved a sales impact with the Noblex 7 mares, a radio that at the time surpassed all of its kind. Distinguishable by a lid that when folded up showed a map of the world, it had several shortwave bands, bass and treble controls and a good design on its metal front. In the 1980s, the company became a licensee of the Korean Samsung. Over the years, he began to manufacture the first black and white televisions, the TS 8 receiver and the Noblex Micro 9 radio. In 1999 it was acquired by the Newsan group. It currently has a manufacturing plant in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego.
