Tubenav combines the iconic London Tube map and an extensive online places and events directory to create London’s first fully interactive tube map. It allows users to search, discover and navigate to their desired places, events and local businesses quickly and interactively by pin pointing its location on the London Underground Tube Map. Tubenav provides a simpler and quicker means of finding the location of places within London than current alternatives. It combines and bridges the user journey between finding the desired address on Google, discovering a new place on Time Out magazine and then figuring out how to get there using Citymapper, Google maps and the Tube map. Tubenav combines this user journey into 2 clicks. The unique aspect of the application is the use of the Tube Map as the basis for search and discovery. This immediately suggests its relevancy for London based users and tourists. The other unique aspect of the product is a curated database of key places and events. This allows their users to not only search for known places but discover new options based on key categories, tag words, friend’s favourites and recommendation using social media data.
