Since 2009 Universal Trace have engaged with blood transfusion service (BTS) and Hospital organisations in a number of countries in order to understand the challenges these organisations face in delivering a best practice blood and tissue service. Issues such as increasing operational costs, growing demand on services, strict budgetary controls, maintaining donation supply and improving product utilisation were identified as real issues which must be addressed. In order to help healthcare organisations address these real challenges which they are encountering Universal Trace have developed their Blood Trace solution. Blood Trace is a unique and innovative software platform which optimises the blood service supply chain from blood centres through to hospitals – reducing risk, saving costs and enhancing customer service.
