Company Description

VirtualGL is an open-source solution for high-performance remote display of 3D applications.

VirtualGL is an open-source solution for high-performance remote display of 3D applications. VirtualGL enables its users to convert any Unix or Linux OpenGL application into a network service, allowing remote users to interact with the 3D application in real time regardless of the capabilities of their client machine or the size of 3D data. VirtualGL allows 3D accelerator hardware to be shared among multiple users and applications, ultra-thin clients or mobile devices to access 3D applications that would normally exceed the client’s capabilities, and multiple users to collaboratively view and interact with the same application instance. VirtualGL was launched on August 23, 2004.
