The mission is to develop a gaming console that will be unique, having no features of current/previous gaming platforms, also be user friendly. The problem with the gaming industry currently is the prolonged current generation of consoles. The Xbox, PlayStation have been current for 7 to 8 years. On July 23, 2012 the CEO said 'the lack of new consoles has damaged the entire games trade for consumers and developers alike. It's a lot less risky for us to create new IPs and new products when we're in the beginning of a new generation,our customers are very open to new things.' Adding more options to the gaming industry is healthy. It makes companies more innovative. That adds jobs to the gaming industry.
