Company Description

The Voting Information Project helps voters find information about the U.S. elections with open-source tools.

The Voting Information Project (VIP) helps voters find information about the U.S. elections with open-source tools. It works with states to provide official information to voters about where to vote and what is on their ballots. It allows state election divisions to publish their voting information, which is parsed and disseminated by other organizations and individuals such as newspapers, search engines, and civic-minded technologists in the form of websites, maps, and other tools. The VIP is a partnership between The Pew Charitable Trusts, Google, and the states. The Voting Information Project was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.
