VSPARTICLE develops nanoparticle generators for various applications.

Nanoparticles are the building blocks of the future. Designing new devices from the nanoscale gives much more freedom in design and enables you to make use of the so called 'quantum effects'. We strongly believe that nanoparticles can bring us a more sustainable future. We are the specialist on nanoparticle production and integration. Our technology speeds up the developments of customers by producing the desired nanoparticles on location and integrate them directly in the final product. VSPARTICLE is a spin-off of Delft University of Technology. Prof. dr. Andreas Schmidt-Ott is one of the inventors of the spark ablating production of nanoparticles. In 1984 Prof. dr. Andreas Schmidt-Ott made his first publication on the discovery of this production method and since then has always been busy with understanding and improving the process. In 2012 Prof. dr. Andreas Schmidt-Ott and dr. Tobias Pfeiffer (co-founder and CTO of VSPARTICLE) were able to increase the nanoparticle production by a factor of 100 from one single unit, making up-scaling to industrial scale possible. This development combined with the ease and the flexibility of the technology motivated the founders to start VSPARTICLE.
