Private Equity and Venture Capital (VC/PE) industry in Spain.

Webcapitalriesgo.com is an initiative that aims to contribute to the transparency in the Private Equity and Venture Capital (VC/PE) industry in Spain. The origin of the venture is found in the research about the VC/PE industry carried out since 1984 by José Martí Pellón, professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Through his regular data collection activity, a large historical dataset was created and is updated every year. To address the major challenges of information and sector growth, in 2000 professor José Martí Pellón and a group of collaborators created www.webcapitalriesgo.com to optimize both data collection and distribution of contents about the VC/PE activity.
