Wikimedia District of Columbia hosts programs in the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the states of Maryland, Delaware, and West Virginia. It serves as the regional outreach organization for Wikipedia and the other projects of the Wikimedia Foundation. Wikimedia District of Columbia was launched in 2011 and is based in Washington, District of Columbia.
