The company was originally founded in 1998 as eVineyard.com, but re-launched as Wine.com when they acquired the domain name and assets in 2001. In 2010, Wine.com launched WineShopper, a members-only website featuring exclusive deals on limited quantities of wine. Wine.com and WineShopper combined have registered more than 1 million users.
