Presently, people of small villages are not connected to mainstream because those villages are scattered, making them uninteresting for corporates. Use of IT can economically unite the scattered villages together and can help to bridge the economic and information gap existing among rural people. To do so, each village should be seen as individual unit and decentralised convergence should be created there by making provision of pure drinking water through designated centres called ZeroMiles. Here transactions around pure drinking water would bring self-sustainability to each unit and would provide a scope to afford an IT trained operator. At such centre, proper interactive digital interface (content stored in local servers in these centres accessible through tablets via local network) assisted by physical presence of trained operator would link people, who are not used-to to the latest technology and lack basic understanding of English language, to vast information and opportunities.
