Hardware Description

A handheld computer, the IHC-8000 was Toshiba's entry into that once promising market of HHCs, or Hand Held Computers. On its bezel, the IHC-8000 is proudly described as an "intelligent hand-held computer", and it is indeed more intelligent than most HHCs of its era: for one thing, it has a decent BASIC interpreter built-in. For another, it does not use those dreaded NiCd internal batteries that make so little sense for a low-power CMOS device.
