Bio/Description
After war-time work on Radar in the Australian forces, John Bennet worked on a number of early British computers incuding EDSAC as research assitant to Maurice Wilkes. Working for Ferranti he developed the instruction set for the Ferrant Mark 1 Computer.Back in his native Australia he developed the SILLIAC Computer and later becaame foundation Professor in the Basser Department at Sysney University
