University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, is the largest university in the state and a primary source of postsecondary education. University of Kansas, Lawrence offers over 190 degree programs that span a wide range of subjects, research activities across a range of disciplines and numerous performing arts and other campus activities. Undergraduate and graduate degree programs feature such diverse offerings as: * Architectural Engineering * Audiology * Film and Media Studies * Humanities and Western Civilizations * Law * Pharmacy * Marketing * Occupational Therapy * Urban Planning Faculty, undergraduate and graduate students also participate in research in a variety of disciplines such as: * Biodiversity * Bioengineering * Education * Telecommunications Student life activities are also diverse and lively. University of Kansas has a 2,000-seat performing arts center where musical, dance and theatre performances are held. There are also several student theatre companies, campus museums, student art galleries and a number of student clubs and organizations. Admissions requirements differ depending on the degree and program of study. General undergraduate admissions requirements include submission of an application, along with transcripts and ACT or SAT scores. University of Kansas Lawrence awards eligible students with merit scholarships, which could cover up to 100% of tuition costs. Most of these scholarships require a minimum GPA of 3.4. University of Kansas also provides grants, loans and work-study money.
