The microcomputer revolution changed our lives…the way we live, work and almost everything we do. Has it made our lives better? Well, yes and no -- it depends on how you measure the effect and what “better” really means to you. If better is a simpler life, then we would be better off without microcomputers; but then we would not have the thousands of gadgets we like/love: cellphones; I-pods; websites with blogs and e-commerce; modern medicine; automatic kitchen appliances; GPS navigation devices in our cars… and the list just goeson and on… it is endless.
