Hardware Description
The ADVISOR II pager provides alphanumeric messaging in a feature-rich pager that is ideal for demanding business environments.
ADVISOR II displays up to four lines of text with up to eighty characters per line. The zoom feature allows users to enlarge two lines of text while the large electroluminescent display delivers optimum readability. The Personal and Mail Drop Notebooks offer flexibility in storing messages.
By the early 1990s, roughly 3 million people were using pagers, by some estimates. Many of the new customers had merely a desire rather than a need to be constantly in touch—executives, for instance. By 1993 Motorola’s user manual for the Advisor II noted that the product was “ideal for demanding business environments.”
Users can easily manage their messages with the Advisor II pager's Personal Notebook for storing personal messages and a Mail Drop Notebook for storing information service messages.
The Advisor II pager is available in Australia and New Zealand in VHF POCSAG models.
