FACOM 230-38 system

This series, employing Fujitsu's virtual memory system, was announced in August 1973 in competition to IBM's virtual storage system (announced in August 1972). The FACOM 230-8 Series was comprised of 5 models -- the FACOM 230-28S, 28, 38, 48 and 58 -- ranging from mid to large size, and it provided more comprehensive functionality and improved processing speed through innovations like employing a high-efficiency virtual memory system.
