Description

Jeffery D. Stein has spent six decades building technology businesses. A serial entrepreneur since 1960, he founded and led On-Line Business Systems, Inc. of San Francisco, a pioneer in online real-time transaction processing serving more than 2,000 clients nationwide, and later founded Convene.com, an early leader in Internet-delivered distance education. He is Vice President of Peyton Investments, an advisory firm supporting emerging technology companies, and co-founder of MySearchEngineAds.com. Stein joined the Board of the IT History Society in 2002 and later served as its Chair; he stepped down from the Board in 2026 and remains active as an Emeritus advisor.
